Wendy invites us to have more conversation on loving Jesus with your mind:
"Loving Jesus with your mind seems complex to me, although I am sure it is meant to be a simple thing to do.
When I think of mind, I think of logic.
When I think of love, I think of emotions (yes-I caught that-"think" of emotions).
If I put love in my mind, I think of taking away the emotion and if love is an emotion then I no longer have love.
I'm a bit stuck.
I thought I could kick it around with my fellows . . ."

I see it as loving God and all His creations with a conscious mind which in turn offers us a conscious heart to live by. Our emotions tend to be driven (many times) by human experiences and thus they can be unconscious in nature. By being more in touch and conscious of our actions and words, we then move closer to God for it is through His love and spirit that we want to live. As I mentioned before, it takes work to be aware of everything we say and do - I don't mean we need to micro manage our every thought and breath, but maybe we just need to be more aware of them for a short while to allow our hearts to sincronize with our minds. All of our hearts are open to the true agape love that God shares with us, it is our minds that tend to close off and act independantly. Logic, thinking, loving, mind - independently they mean something completely different and can be used in many forms. Put them together - Loving logically with a thinking mind. See how you can be one with God by using your mind in a logical way that promotes loving the way God intends it to be.
